This week, I turned 27. It was a nice, relaxing day, and I was lucky enough to just do what I wanted all day long. I'd stayed up late the night before, tidying the house as a birthday present to myself, so I didn't set the alarm, and woke up naturally around 10. My friends came over for breakfast: Coli brought strawberries with the Special Yogurt, and Che brought an amazing carrot cake in the shape of the Millennium Falcon (

We had been planning to get Mexican at Dos Tacos at noonish, and then get Indian for dinner, but by the time we got to Seoul, it was 5, and way too late to have lunch before our 7:00 reservation at KajaRaha, so we all just got a little taco, and a margarita -- delicious!
Everything was perfect: Indian was delicious as always; and Sandra, the owner of a cute little cafe called Groovy cafe made me a chocolate cake that was so moist it tasted like a brownie; but best of all, I spent the day with some of the nicest, funnest people I know (two, who couldn't make it on account of being continentally impaired, called to say hi to us all, and wish me a happy birthday-- how perfect!)!
Life is generally a pretty good thing in my neck of the woods, and so I've decided to start training myself to notice the good things, the little things, to appreciate life to the fullest. Every day (or almost every day), I'm going to post a picture and a write up of something that made me happy -- something that I've been thankful for each day. Today, in the wake of getting another year older, I'm thankful just to be alive!
Peace,
Kristi
